It is no secret...I love the holidays! Outside of creating memories and magic for the children (not only did we watch Home Alone constantly...the kid was introduced to 2 & 3...he loves them all), everything around me sparkles. Between lights, glitter, and beaming smiles, you cannot help but to become enchanted by the glow and the friendliness you encounter from complete strangers.

As we packed everything away and cleaned to put the house back in "order", I couldn't help but to become a tad bit sad. And not just because I was on my feet for over 6 hours AFTER working. Our house had lost its shine. I exclaimed, MOM...it no longer sparkles. And she simply replied...yes it does, look at the glitter on the floor. Ahhhh...she is so smart. Because in fact, the remnants of Christmas will last FOREVER between the glitter and Christmas tree needles no matter how many times we scrub or vacuum.
