Still Stings. Forever Faithful.

Super Bowl stage set at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. Our paint oh so pretty in the end zone. Uniforms cleaned - although we couldn't wear our preferred ALL white. Excitement. Anticipation thru the roof. February 2, 2020. It was time for us to do our thing.

6 minutes left in the game. Then 21 points scored AGAINST us...did we just FUMBLE the lead?!

Momentum shifted...we were suddenly down...and ultimately ended up being defeated in the Super Bowl.

And out of all the trolls on my phone, I never expected my nephew to text me at 6:31am the next morning taunting me about this loss. But never fret, we will see them in Dallas next year. They better protect that star. *giggles*

1 month later and I am still replaying that night over and over in my head. My dad told me it may take me over a year to get over this. And I accept this, but what I also accept is the invigoration I felt from my team this season.

We fought. We learned lessons. We united. We overcame multiple injuries. AND we rose from a 4-12 season to become a serious contender in the league going 13-3. Nobody saw us coming.

Although this loss still stings. Please believe I am forever faithful and ready for next season.

Oh! And before I forget...good morning and happy Monday to everyone except the Super Bowl officiating team who seemed to not be able to see any KC penalties and whoever decided to deviate from our run game.
