Friends With Benefits

So last night me and my cousins, Kiara, Indigo, and Ayana, decided to go to the movies to see Friends With Benefits - a little girl fun without the guys to see a chic flick (we definitely knew the males wouldn't want to see this - ha).

While in the movie theater, we felt like there was a hurricane going on - I have NEVER been inside a theater and I could actually still hear the storm going on outside and the rain beating on the roof - thankfully we were inside and I was just praying it would pass before we had to leave since we had already encountered some heavy downpours on the way there.

I am not going to lie - thunder storms still unnerve me. And apparently, Australia does not receive the magnitude of the storms we have been getting - so it was a first for Indy. *yikes* (Welcome to the USA) By the time we got out of the movie, it had slowed down and was just drizzling. (thank God)

The movie proved to be very entertaining - a great romantic comedy which leads to my next question - is there a such thing as "friends with benefits"? OR does someone's feelings always become involved? If not, how do you separate the two without getting jealous if someone else is receiving the same benefits from your friend?

  1. Glad you are enjoying the family time. Now on to the question at hand...the answer is no. A friends with benefits relationship cannot continue. One friend is bound to get hurt in the process. A friendship in itself involves feelings and the physical intimacy will only serve to intensify those feelings.

  2. I agree - I do not see how you can separate the two - but what if you meet someone and you decide they are just going to be a friend with benefits??? Since a prior relationship isn't established does that help the process?

  3. That might help the situation for a short time, being a woman I can say that we are emotional creatures. If we begin sharing our thoughts, feelings and a bed with someone we are bound to develop a connection with that person even if the connection is one-sided. The only way I see a friends with benefits situation working is if you remove the friend aspect and call the man what he is...a living sex toy.
