Diving Between October's Covers

Ahhhh...are any of you surprised that half of my October books were holiday reads?! Let's dive right in since this is WAY overdue.

A Wedding in December by Sarah Morgan
Two years in a row and Sarah Morgan released a Christmas read?! My fave part happens to be her descriptions of the locations. I immediately felt like I was in Aspen. Although I rated this book a 3, I found myself more concerned with what happened with Katie (the bride's sister). Here's to hoping there is a sequel.

Right Beside You by Mary Monroe
This was a short read that I tackled in less than 2 hours. What I took away from this one is direct communication always works best. Don't allow an outsider to convey your truth OR listen to second hand information. Go directly to the source.

Well Met by Jen DeLuca
With this being my first read by DeLuca, I didn't know what to expect. I found myself being frustrated with the character development, but by the end it all came together. I suppose one could say...it was worth the wait.

Royal Holiday by Jasmine Guillory
Set against the wintry landscape of England & with specs of glitter on the cover, I knew as soon as I opened Royal Holiday I would be enchanted by Malcolm & Vivian. And when they began writing letters to each other, I seriously swooned. The art of handwritten notes is not lost and shows extra thoughtfulness.

Many of the books I have read this year were set in the UK. This must mean I need to take a trip to see it for myself. *adds to future travel destionations*

Dear Haiti, Love Alaine by Maika Moulite
I enjoyed the different writing style of this book. However, I feel like I did not HAVE to read it. BUT this cover is EVERYTHING. And we all know I am sucker for something that catches my eye.

Fight or Flight by Samantha Young
Let me tell you something...I HATED Caleb by page 20. I felt Ava could do so much better. Yet I kept reading. And I am still more interested in Harper & Jaime's story and really hope the author plans a sequel for their storyline.

All this to say...NOTHING blew me away last month. But you know...that tends to happen as I read more books.

Have you read anything amazing lately?!
