The antidote for everything is a quick trip, right?! BUT not this year. While staying at home, I find it difficult to just read. BUT tv, puzzles, and stress baking have been exactly what I needed for my sanity.
However, I managed to finish one book in April. I know, I know...this recap is way overdue.
The Antidote for Everything by Kimmery Martin
Goodreads Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
There is something about the way Kimmery Martin weaves a story. You are immediately drawn by her characters and the issues they encounter while tackling this thing called life.Jonah and Georgia's story was no different. The solid foundation of their friendship was a main theme for this book. Who doesn't appreciate someone you know will always be in your corner?!
But you know what I love the most about Martin's books?! There is always a life lesson intricately threaded with her words. And what was reaffirmed between these covers?! The only thing that matters - the only antidote for discrimination and corruption and every other evil that plagues our society - is integrity. Behaving with honor. Shining a light on the truth.
So poignant during these trying times, no?!
